Trail Cams

I've been dieing to get me a trail cam......
Problem is sence the land has public access, I am almost certain it will be stolen.[:@]
What do you do to make your trail cams less conspicuious?
How can I make it more difficult for a thief to steal?

If somebody wants to steal it, you will probably lose the camera or they will tear it up trying to get it off the tree.

I just mentioned this to someone else who was worried about getting there camera stolen. Put it up high. 7 or 8 feet up and use the laser to point it where you want. Not to many people look up for cameras.

Yeah, I considered that.
Here in WV, the hills are so steep, I could go 15 or twenty feetup a tree and still shoot strait across to my feeder.
It might not stop a thief, butit will slow him down. Unless he is carrying a few tree steps in his pocket.

Yep, set it up high and above folks' field of view. With the camera angled down you won't miss a photo and others in the woods shouldn't be able to spot it.

I just put some branches/palmetto's on each side, making sure they wont fall or get in the way of the camera and pray, lol.

The feeder I use, is only a piece of 8 inch pvc with a cap, strapped to a tree.
Kinda primitive I know, but it gets the job done, I guess.
Wouldn't be worth anyones time to steal.
I 've been tring to figure a way to secure an automated feeder as well as a trail cam.
My stand is in a place where you can't get an atv.
About 50-60 yards over a steep hill below a huge field.
You have to walk to it... which is a plus. Most people who hunt the area is to lazy to resort to walking.
