RE: Too Hunt or not Too hunt?!
Big Poppa - Thanks, and staying and letting the deer bleed out and die without bumping is key. Guess I shouldnt be too worried about hunting right on the swamp.
2Poppa - My back is to I69 and I am extremely happy with the spots that I have found.Think the sneakyones may end up running thex-way just as much as the swamp.Just never really hunted this on top of a swamp and trying to cover my bases ahead of time. Camo - Obviously lol Just getting excited for this year and wanted some advice. Now another question. Setting up a salt/mineral lick about 20 yards out. Being on the swamp the water table cant be more than 6 inches deep. Thinking about taking a plastic 55 gallon barrel and cutting it in half, then trimming it till its around 4-6 inches deep. Then I can bury it flush with the ground and mix my minerals and dirt inside of it so I have a permenant lick. Sound like it would be worth it??? |
RE: Too Hunt or not Too hunt?!
you might also invest in a blood finder. At Gander Mountain we have a fluid that turns blood a bluish color to make tracking easier if you begin to lose the trail.
I think you should be OK a well-placed shot and you'll be alright |
