RE: Cold weather boots??

If you hunt from a stand, consider a pair of Boot Blankets. It's like a coat for your boots. I have a pair of Lacrosse boots that are fairly warm, but after several hours in the stand I can feel the chill setting in. With the Boot Blankets on, it's no problem. For all day hunts, I've even dropped a Hot Hands inside of each boot blanket, and it's like having your feet in an oven. Cozy!

IMO rubber boots seem to not breathe as well, or at all, so even if you're feet aren't sweating that moisture only hurts.

I'd strongly reccomend a liner sock to wick away moister quickly along with a nice wool sock.

Also rubber boots seem to not be eqiuv to a pack boot, so a 1000gr pack boot, woudl be warmer IMO than a 1000gr rubber boot.

Ill tell you a name of the warmest boot you will find and I guarantee it. It is made by northern outfitters. They are a little bulkey but My dad used them in Sask ,canada it was -40 his feet never got cold he also had there whole outfit on as well. We are from Georgia so if they work for us I know they will work for anyone since we arent use to the cold weather. He sat on the stand for 11 hours. Good luck.
