C'Mere Deer

Has anybody used these products such as C'Mere Deer, Buck Grub etc.. Do they work?

RE: C'Mere Deer

I have used Buck Grub and it worked fairly well. I mixed it with corn and C'more Bucks liquid, and they tore up the site where my feeder was.

Will it work as bait, sometimes. Corn is cheaper and does about the same thing in that regard.

RE: C'Mere Deer

c'mere really didn't do anything for the area I hunt. They didn't even goto it. C'more bucks always worked good in my area. I also use buck jam on salt blocks and they seem to like it well. Never had any luck with deercaine either. Corn, apples and sweet feed are the best baiting items I've ever used.

RE: C'Mere Deer

Deer cane has always worked for me as long as I keep the site fresh. All it is is mineral salt with a fruity smellin'attractant in it. I got two new licks I made last fall where the ground is now a hole about 3X3 ft wide and about 4 or 5 inches deep, they tear it up. I pour a half a sack on a site in about April or May, then do it all again the first week of October. I used C'mere deer two seasons ago and it didn't do crap. Hank Parker should stick to fishin.

No baiting allowed here. Most of those attractants are mainly salt which is illegal to hunt over too. Not much in the way of food plot hunting here especially in the non ag areas.

Yea i live in the same place as champlain no baiting allowed. I would think that all natuarl stuff would work best such as corn and acorns and apples considering they uaslly eat one of those in the are they live.

I cant bait, but currently i have my cameras across the street...... I put lots of apples there and they just keep piggin on them.... They have probably eaten over 20 pounds of apples in the past few days... 5 mins after i put a bag of apples there they came in and started eating them [8D]

C'mere deer has never worked for anyone that I know who has used it. Hank Parker made it seem like it was almost "Cheating" to use that in his commercials it was so good. I never saw any difference. Buck Grub seems to work pretty good, for some reason the yearling deer don't like it. Ive seen them smell that and jump away from it and go to the corn or sugar beets. All mature deer seem to like it a lot. It seems weird to me that would happen, but oh well, Im not looking for the yearlings anyway!:D

A friend of mine was told by a man who owned a large deer farm that the only attractive he has ever seen that deer would eat over corn and sweet feed was acorn rage. Personally, I use nothing but corn.

Did hank parker think that no one would find out that c'mere deer is a big joke I myself got suckered into buying it. Man he sure lost his credability with that one.

Can't say. Both are illegal to use as "bait" in Alabama.

It's illegal to hunt over "bait". Not 100% positive it's illegal to put it out during off-season or even during seasons if you don't hunt over it. I'd have to look it up but I'm sure it's legal unless you hunt over it or on avisible trailleading to it.....somethin like that. If a game warden finds a pile of corn or other "bait' on your property, he won't bust you unless you're hunting over it, I've asked them. I don't feed corn during the season though so it doesn't affect me.Puttin out a cornpile is doing more bad than good, and you'll likely never see much action b/c the deer are gonna eat it all at night. I've done it during the off-season ever since game cams came out, just to get pictures of possible targets growin their newracks each year. A few times I tried stuff like cmere deer b/c I just wanted to see how the deer responded to these new "wonder baits", so I put some out in front of a camera. None of the crap works anyways so it's useless as a bait, don't waste your time and money. It is however legal to hunt over white salt in Alabama, butnothing beats sittin by a big white oak or persimmon tree!!! That's the best"bait" you'll find.

I tried it. Even put a camera on it. Deer completely ignored it.

RE: C'Mere Deer

Georgia it has to be complely gone for a minimum of 10 days before you can hunt that spot. OR You have to hunt at a minimum of 200 yards away out of the line of sight from the "bait". If the "bait" or mineral is obsorbed into the ground (as it was explained to me by our local warden) it is legal. So, I tried the liquid C'Mere Deer. But it still sucked. I couldn't figure out how to use the powder in a legal way so I didn't bother. I had a guy that took up his corn feeder and went back to hunt that spot two weeks later and got a ticket from the warden because the warden had been out 5 days before the hunt andfound "a few" drops of corn still on the ground. I understandthe lawand actually agree to keep it fair chase. But it makes it difficult when you have to get up every single drop.

I have used the liquid spray and sprayed it on some alfalfa and they tore that part of the field up. But I think its a waste money. The deer were hitting it at night from what I could tell.

RE: C'Mere Deer

The C'Mere is gold. I cant believe so many people have had bad luck with it. I got it in the spray bottle. In an area where I just had a pile of corn about a square yard. One day I spray alot right in the center of the pile. 2 days later they had dug TO THE DIRT. Yet there was corn evrywhere aroudn the edge of the pile. Actually the rest hadnt really been touched.

The Buck Grub, worked ok. Brought a few more deer in.

It's about as affective as salt water, but cost a lot more. Here is an experiment for someone with too much money.
Buyc'mere deer and then get a container or something like Mortons salt. Spread them on the ground about 10' apart, then set up a trail cam over it and see which they like more. If I were a betting man, I would be that after the first rain, they will either hit both equally, or the salt more.
I just don't have the $25 to waste on C'mere deer

ACORN RAGE

ORIGINAL: bryant1

A friend of mine was told by a man who owned a large deer farm that the only attractive he has ever seen that deer would eat over corn and sweet feed was acorn rage. Personally, I use nothing but corn.
I believe that 100%. I used a bag of Acorn Rage(1) 40lb bag that will mix with 200lb of corn. I noticed 200+ of trail cam pictures up until the feeder ran near empty. I refilled the feeder (200lb of corn) no Rage mix and my pictures went down by 100. I again refilled and mixed Rage and deer traffic came back. That's all I use now. All together I spend $40.00 a month on feed and it's well worth it to me.

if u read the labe it says use on favorite deer attractant. it says that fora reason. i had a buddy that sprayed it on corn, after the deer ate the corn he said "man this stuff really works" we laughd called him a dumbass and informed him they already ate the corn. use deer cocane its the best ive tried so far

I've never heard anyone say that either worked any good in my area. I have made my own mineral licks for years, and they will normally hit that over anything else other than natural food sources.

I've heard good reviews for Acorn Rage. One thing to be aware of with some of these attractants such as Buck Jam, Sweet corn, etc. is that bear are attracted to these more than deer in my experiences.

RE: C'Mere Deer

In about a 6 X 6 areaspread a 50 lb bag of corn on the ground. Try to make sure it is in a well covered tree canopy area to try to keep it as dry as possible and to make the deer feel secure.. Then sprinkle a 5.5lb bag of Acorn Rage all over the corn. Get you trail camera ready -- I got 158 pics of deer in 2 days! I averaged 150 per week with just corn in the same method/same areaand no Acorn Rage. Don't use the rage by itself, the combo is the trick.

I think there is a thread out thereabout buck jam. I've used this stuff on wood and stumps. No need for stump removal the deer will do it for you.
