Omega - Favorite Load Combination?

I just got my new scope put on my omega last weekend and I had the opportunity to try it out. I really liked the Nikon Omega Scope. I was shooting 250 grain Shockwave Sabots backed by two 50 grain pellets of 777. Now I just need to practice, practice, practice. Guys that have an Omega what's your favorite load combination? I will be using my muzzy for deer hunting.

Thanks

I was shooting 100 gr Triple 7s w/ Powerbelts.
I will be switching to the 250 Shockwaves this year. I may kick it up to 150 grain this year.

250 gr shockwaves backed by 120 grains of pyrodex. Last year was my first year with this gun and I really like it. great accuracy. I've got a nikon prostaff on top but last year hunted with the pine ridge that it came with from cabelas. I killed a doe, about 110yd shot. She died after about a 150 yd run although she was hit right in boiler room. The only thing I didn't like is there was no real blood trail to speak of. Without hitting bone, I think most ml slugs just don't expand much, at least in my experience.

I also have a omega with nikon bdc 250 scope and I use three 777 pellets with 250 grain shockwave bullets. Anything out to about 275 is mine. I blew the heart out of a doe last year at 90 yards. Not much blood trail but I didn't need one because she only went about 15 yards. Those bullets hit really hard and cause a lot of damage. If you read the instructions for the nikon omega scope it recommends using 3 pellets because that is what they tested the bdc circles with, so that is what I use.

I have an Omega .50cal and a Original Knight Disc .50cal and I shoot a 250 grain Barnes TMZ backed by 2 50 grain 777 pellets and 1 30 grain 777pellet. On the Knight I have a VX II 3x9x40 and on the Omega I have a Burris Fullfield II 3x9x40 Ballistic Plex.
- I noticed that both guns don't like 150grains of powder, but both like the 130 grains, and my favorite scope is by far the Burris, I piece scope, better light transmission and clearer optics. Just my 2-cents.......

I have the Omega with the Nikon Omega bdc 250 scope. I have used both the Shockwave and the Powerbelt and bothe do the job. I have also used the pyrodex and the 777. I don't know if it is me or what but the 777 is accurate on the first shot but way off on the second. I am not sure if I am loading it right on the second shot as in I might be crushing pellets while pushing the bullet. I had no problems with the pyrodex except there was a lot of fowling to clean. I have been thinking about using the American Pioneer sticks. Any one tried these yet.

With the bullets the powerbelts are easier to load but I have heard that they may leak by when shot. The shockwave I have taken deer out to 150 yards with 100 gr of powder.
