Age?

I know she's young and small but she was my first. I held off on the young ones all season long last year but with only 2 weeks left i needed to pop my cherry. It was my first full season. How old would you say she was?

Depending on your area I would say 1 1/2-2.

I think shes 1 1/2. My first deer with a bow was also a young doe. I hope you get your first buck this year.

Its hard to say by going off the pic you have. What did she weigh? Hows her teeth? What did she look like when she was standing?

looking at the size of her ears to her head i would say yearling but could be a small 1.5 year old from the late rut

Congratulations! The first one is always the hardest. Now you will have confidence when you see the next deer because you have already been there. It's a nice doe.

A yearling is a 1 1/2 year old. A deer less than one year old is a fawn.

Looks like she was about 1.5year old. Glad you went ahead an got one out of the way.Now you can go into this season with a totally different look at the up coming season. Good luck this year!

the ear/head gauge is completley inaccurate anyways. i shot a does a few years back that weighed 168 and she had the biggest ears ive ever seen on a deer. last season on the same crossin my ol man shot a 156 lb eer that looked like aexact duplicate.....

on that note, ide say her shoulders and hips dont look very well developed and ide guess shes a year and a half.

congrats!
