Well there is no doubt about it he must be a very nice buck and mature ..I think it must be the pictures ...they most likely do not do the rack justice ...when looking at the pictures it does not look like as much bone as the buck that I took BUT I am sure if BTR scored it 173 .5 then thats what it is ... and if you add just a average spread of 16 inch's that puts it in the 190's ...it will be interesting to read about it in Rack magazine.

I killed a deer almost identical to that here in Kansas, and It scored with spread in the low 180s GROSS, that would be my guess for this one....but just an opinion, id also say that is an old deer and dont expect him to get bigger....once again an opinion good luck
