RE: Plan to hunt africa?
I was in South Africa for a semester in college and was considering a hunt. The hunts charged based on what you wanted to shoot and all guaranteed success.
IMHO that's slaughter of livestock, not hunting. |
RE: Plan to hunt africa?
An Africa hunt would be exciting, but I can't substantiate investing money in a hunt in which you can not bring the meat home. I cape and head mount are nice, but why hunt just to bring home only the hide. No thank you.

RE: Plan to hunt africa?
I got to go over there twice, for free. I even got paid for the trip. Wasn't exactly a hunting trip. It's not as much fun when they shoot back...

RE: Plan to hunt africa?
I would love to hunt a cape buffalo, how do you think the cape buffalo would fare in Texas?

RE: Plan to hunt africa?
I lean towards leaving big game be. I would perhaps hunt a Springbok or Kudu in South Africa, which are much like deer and the meat can be kept or donated to the hungry (which there are MILLIONS of in South Africa)...put in my humble opinion, i'd rather shoot the big game with my camera.
...I used to live in Ghana and South Africa though. I highly recommend a visit at least once in your life - great people, great food and of course, great wild life. |
