I have a pair of lacrosse 1000 grain for deer hunting. Tight fit and keeps my feet warm in the winter. When the temps are warmer, I just use any regular rubber boot.

I bought the Cabela insulated rubber boots that zip up and have a buckle.
My old ones were Lacrosse and were good also.
I suggest the zip up ones, whomevers you buy.

Lacrosse Alpha Burly 800 grams. Nice and warm and VERY comfortable. I used to never use rubber boots until I borrowed a pair of these from a friend to shed in.

LaCrosse 800 gram Alpha Burleys for me. Nothing better in the deep snow and swampy areas I hunt in northern New England.

I love the Lacrosse boots, but hate the Alpha line of them. They are nice and light, but the new rubber material is too soft. I have had three pairs rip on me from just normal hunting use and know some other hunters with the same problems. I like to use the old style. I will sacrifice the weight for the strength.
