HOw does Scent Lock work?

I like to use red fox cover scent, it stinks but here the deer are used to it. I hunt from the ground and have had deer walk right by me. Camo and cover scent can do the trick alright if you cansit long enough.I have sat on the ground and has had deer walk so close to me seeing is believing. The problem with them being so close to you is trying to move to get a shot at them. But it is a great challange as I see it..

Hunt the wind. Get as high as you can, 30plus if able. Be scent free as possible. Rubber boots and use peroxide as mouthwash. Don’t move or move as little as possible.

Try to have the wind in my face at all times.
Entry and exit to my stand sites without alerting deeror crossing deer paths.

I pack my clothes in my bag with a couple of HS Scent-a-away dryer sheets.Use scent wafers, use non-scented Hunter's Wipes for "areas that tend to sweat a lot,"use peroxide for mouthwash, change out of clothes when not hunting, squirt raccoon urine around base of treeand spray boots thoroughly before entering the woods. The wind is so variable here, if you try to only hunt by wind direction, you'll be in 8 different stands by noon!

Bottom line though,somedays you don't spook any, somedays you do!
