Have you ever shot a good buck in his bed
I have shot2 wt. and one mulie .I was just wandering what are the odds. That is out of the 15 I have mounted. The mulie was over 400 yards and no way to get closer befor dark at the shot he stood up and 2 more shots he fell.It was well after dark by the time I got to him.One wt. was at 25 yards and letting me walk my,when he turned in his bed he crunched a leaf and I made him,he never stood up.The other one stood up to look around he knew something was up.

I got to within 15 yards of a bedded spike buck with my muzzleloader but decided to let him live. When he saw me he just about jumped out of his skin. The last 10 yards took about 30 min.

Why does it have to be a "good buck"??Any deer should be a "good deer"..Thats the problem with hunting today, its all about inches.I about puke everytime i watch hunting shows on tv,I can't stand it.The only show i watch is Tred Barta,he is a real hunter..BTW i have shot 2 "good bucks" on the bed,1 spike and 1 6pt..And 1 Doe..Just as proud of that doe as i was of the bucks...

personally I don't want to shoot any animal in its bed, laying down, not something I want to do, personally if that occurse I plan to wait him out or get him to stand,
