RE: Some New Maine Cam Pics
I use a woodswatcher made in Wisconsion. It goes for $275 and has some options that I find kinda nice,it has a sleep mode after film is run out to conserve batteries,it has a countdown battery strength indicator so you can watch it go from 10 down to 1.That way you don' t get the surprise of the batteries going one day when you don' t expect it.It is very good on battery drain and goes all summer and fall on one set.It uses a Samsung camera which has a good flash and takes 800 spd film. The case is lexan and latches secure(I had a bear eat a camtracker once)its small and camo and easy to hide. The owner gives me great service and back-up support. You can walk up to it and check battery strength and number of pics taken without scent disturbing area or opening camera up.I' ve game cammed for along time(1996) and tried a few cams thru the years.Cammin' is my favorite past time during the long off season and gets me in the woods more and lets me see the quality of the bucks in a given area.Don' t mean I' ll get the deer but its easier to sit a spot when you know a big one calls the area home.Once you start you' ll wish you had done it sooner!I' ve got pics of turkey, bear, moose, fisher, porcupine, rabbit, squirrel ,coyote, fox, coon, and people.Developing a roll of film is like Christmas you never know what you' ll see!
