RE: Home made scent killer
take your clothes and trash bag, start stuffing leaves pine needles and even dirt and add it all together let sit for a bout a week, make it sure its tick free too! or for the extreme gather as many pine needles as you can boil them with water in a huge container. when it cools down throw your clothes in the washer and the pine mixture, then so the wifey doesnt get mad run another cycle through the washer with regular laundry soap (minus hunting clothes) then just air dry your clothes, give it a shot!

RE: Home made scent killer
I got this one out of Field & Stream a couple of years ago.
16 oz of 3% hydrogen peroxide 16 oz of distilled water 1/2 cup baking soda 1 oz unscented shampoo get at a drug or health food store combine all ingredients in a clean 1 gallon jug let it sit for 3 days with the lid on loose. filla new spray bottle with trigger sprayer make wipes for hands & face soak brown multi fold paper towels & store in air tight plastic tub or bags |
RE: Home made scent killer
Im not sure but I thought maybe you could use sport detergent instead of shampoo.
And also, I read somewhere that the hydrogen peroxide that you buy in teh brown bottles at the grocery store has stabilizers and other stuff in it that smell and don't work as well. it said you should go to the pool and spa store and buy pool shock, which is pure concentrated h2o2, and dilute it yourself (be careful). A jug of it should last you years. |
