I would say that depends on how the land is currently setup...

Do you have cover, trees, natural grasses, etc.? Do you have a water source? Do you have feed (food plots)? I would ask yourself what is your property lacking OR what needs the most work and then go from there?

find out how many deer are there and what the doe to buck ratio is. and i agree with SDhunter. it all depends on food sources the layout of the property what adjacent properties have to offer and etc.

I think you are asking too broad of a question. In general food, cover and low pressure are the main keys.

Checking the surrounding areas and see what the have or what they lack and make your hunting area have something special that deer have to come on your property for. Enjoy the new land.

It is going to be too hard to describe in this format.. Just send me a round trip airline ticket to your place, and I'll bring my gun to do some herd testing for you.. It will be much more benneficially formeUhh I mean you.. ..

Just kidding.
