Default Shed update--2/14

Well, since it's valentines day, thought i would let everyone know that the bone is really starting to fall. Between 3 guys, we have found3 sets, three dead bucks, and 5 sheds so far. The stress from this giant ice storm here in So. IL should get them dropping. The sets were all found in fields, one in soybeans and two in wheat. Two were still bloody at the bases. I did see a 140+ still packing bone though. Good luck to all the shedders...go find a shed to give to your better halffor valentines day instead of spending $200 on a dozen roses!

Thanks bowboy, I'm going to try to pound some ground this weekend. I haven't had much of a chance so far this winter. By the way, whereabouts in So. IL are you. I'm from around the Albion/Carmi area.

Whoa...ice storm? I was just in Pope County last weekend and Friday and Saturday was beautiful. Couldn't go out shed hunting, had the wife with me for our aniversary. It was a muddy mess down there, gravel roads were washed out and then the township had their graders out and really mucked the roads up.

Yeah, the further south you went, the worse it was. We got about 2 1/2 inches of snow, followed by about 1/4 - 1/2 inch of ice. It's starting to melt today, but it's still pretty nasty.

Checked camera today and still seeing a lot of deer here in Ohio with all theirheadgear. Have one set of sheds so far but in pictures only one four point with half a rack. Hopefully they start fallin off soon. Have a lot of good pictures of some nice deer that I would love to find their sheds.

I'm in North Missouri, we went out today and seen five bucks on hoof still with gear. We have found only two so far....about a week ago. Same here, calling for ice and snow late weekend.

I went out today and found 5 sheds. The Farm that i went on is in wheat. The farmer just had FS put on fertirlizer yesterday and i am wondering if the driver didnt pick up the sheds he saw in the fields. All 5 of the sheds i found were along the field edges or in waterways. I found one shed in a waterway that had been ran over by the fertirlizer truck...
