I don't think he was a little one! Any guess as to how big he was?

Thats a nice rub, but I really don't think theres anyway to tell how big he is.
Something doesnt seem right. I'm guessing those marks are from his brow tines, so you would think there would be a few marks from his tines or main beams.

Your second picture answered JoeyG's point. It must have been a pretty healthy sized deer to get that tree inside of his rack. I'd like to see a ruler or yard stick up against that.

There are rubs on trees in every deer woods around, they all do it to rub velvet off. This I would say is sign post made by the dominate buck in that area. Its hard to say how big he is andI would not pass a chance to hunt him. Good Luck on him next year.

The second picture showing the light marks could have just been a few hits from a different side. The one part that doesn't add up to me isin the second picture there are marks at almost ground level.

he would have rotated his head downward, the brow tines would have stayed a little higher while the main beams would have been down towards the ground.

Seems to be an ok buck, I'm guessing that tree is 12 inches in diameter and the sides of the tree are getting scraped by the main beam while his G1's are rubbing the middle. He's probably nothing to huge, if he was good and wide is rack shouldn't of touched the sides I don't think. Who knows, I could be wrong. It would be allot easier to tell in person.
