Here in noth western Ontario late season doe would be found in and around the ceder swamps. This is their typical late season "food source" and wintering area. They can get around through the snow better.

Probably be easier to answerif we knew where youre from.

Here they tend to bunch up pretty good and we have a lotta snow, I like to check out food sources and look for active trails with lots of fresh tracks going into these food sources.Depending on the location Ill either hunt the food source itself or somewhere between there and where I think they might be bedding.Best time to locate these areas in usually the night after afrsh snowfall, they seem to switch eating spots pretty frequently, here anyway

Try to shoot a deer without horns and testicles.

If the weather is cold, does will be an easy target at a good food source. The have to come out and eat. The colder the better.

If you have snow, does are pretty easy to track. Even if you get a little confused, just stay on fresh tracks and keep following them. If you are reasonably skilled, you'll get a shot. (I'm assuming it's a gun hunt). A buck might light out for some difficult country, but does don't go far, they'll start circling within a mile, and if you stay with them you'll definitely get a shot.

Are you in Illinois? If so, it's going to be dang cold this weekend. Find a food source and hunt it in the evening. Find a bedding area and hunting it in the morning. Good luck.
