RE: Whos wife goes in the woods?
We have been married with identical twin boys science we were 18 and she hunts as much as I do. She was a big help in getting our own place so she could be the hunter she wants to be and not worry about a bunch of guys. We are going on our 20th year, the boys are 18 and have NO desire to hunt: but both are marksmen and compete in bow shoots.....go figure.

congrats now she watches later she might pull the trigger

I asked my wife if she would like to go and watch me hunt.
She said sure.
I went and got here some camo.
Showed her how to use the climber and we went out the next day.
In the morning we didn't see anything.
In the afternoon we went to a different spot and she went up a tree.
I went about 75 yards away and climbed a tree.
35 minutes before dark I had a average size doe walk in.
She was to my back, so I stood up, turned around and sat on the climbing bar.
She was there for fifteen minutes and I started talking to myself.
A friend of mine didn't get anything during regular season and he could use some meat and the wife needed to be broken in on hunting.
Well for the next few minutes I was laughing to myself, because I know when someone shoots close to me it sometimes makes me jump.......well, I had to do it.
The first shot, she liked to jump out of her skin.
The follow up shot had the deer fell 25 yards from her tree.
She saw the muzzle blast from the second shot and is scared her again.
So, my buddy got some meat, I have another deer to the list, and the wife got broken in.
As of right now she just wants to watch.
See said that she can't wait till next weekend to go again.
She doesn't know, but I looked at a youth 870 today.

Verses being married to her I may enjoy the 8x9,sounds like you have never been done wrong in certain ways by someone who took vows!We made a deal after divorce...she stay in Tenn. and not try to come after my dog and I'll stay in Texas and outa jail.It works very well, besides it's isn't worth the effort...living well is my revenge!

RE: Whos wife goes in the woods?
My wife went when she was a kid but won't go with me. She says it is boring. This is my first year hunting and I drive her crazy thinking and talking about it. I am just glad she has finally accepted the fact that I am hooked and will at least listen to me. All it took was me reading a couple of lines out of Whitetail Wisdom about how old does are probably harder to hunt than bucks...she liked that part...haha

My wife has been hunting (bow and gun) with me for years. She loves it and so do I. She's a great partner and managed to pop a nice 8 pointer this past year. I wouldn't have it any other way!
