RE: Best Hunting Photo
I saw a couple fishing pictures and thought, why not? After all you are hunting, just for fish.
This is my second picture, like my other it is before digital. I took this crew out canoe camping on a sandbar by myself. We had all six of us, the sleeping bags, tent, life jackets, food, paddles and two canoes all in or on a 14' Plymouth mini van (that's the short one). We paddled a mile up stream and camped on a sand bar on the North Raccoon River. I had to make two trips up with my canoe, once with one kid and a load and the second with the kid on the left and my Marine in the center, both of whom volunteered to stay at the landing until I made the first round trip. I still remember that they both vounteered to wait, it was so hot one of the pop cans exploded. My older boy is center right. I had never been after flatheads before. This is right after we got home the next day. Coming back to the landing was down stream so it only took one trip. By the way, I'm not voting. There are too many good pictures ![]() |
