Glow in the dark blood
Who else has experienced this? It is true. Sometimes deer blood will glow in the dark. I could not believe it the first time this happened to me a couple of years ago. I told my dad about it, and he said he has seen it several times. He said if a deer has a high amount of phosphorous in its diet, the blood will glow for a while in the dark. I am not sure if shining a light on it has any effect or not.
P.S. I found the deer.

I have seen someone use one of those flourescent light bulb laterns to track deer and it makes the blood glow like you would not believe, I don't know if he had a special color light bulb in it or what but I wish I would have asked.

The aliens blood in the movie Predator glowed in the dark. Are you hunting alien deer? <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I've never used it,but a black light will make blood and urine glow in dark.Proffesional home cleaning companys use a light that will show urine and or blood in carpet.I believe it's a black light.

If you guys don't believe it, the next time you shoot a deer close to dark and have to look for it at night shine your light around and then turn it off and see what happens. You problably have never seen it because you didn't know to look for it. Not all will deer will do it but some will, depending on their diet. It is not real bright but it glows about like a glow-worm. (If you know what that is) It is real dim but it will glowing.A lantern is great for tracking deer!
I found this on the net. Maybe this is what I experienced. As I think back the light I had was very dim so it may have had the same effect as the lantern. I assure you I am not crazy. Have an open mind and you may learn something.

The blood will tend to put off a glow in the lantern light and make tracking much easier. A flashlight tends to "blast" the ground with light and make it more difficult to see the blood. The lantern will bathe the ground in light allowing the blood to almost take on a glowing state."
