RE: kimber .......
Last summer, I purchased a Kimber 8400 LongMaster VT in .22-250. They are top quality rifles. Moving forward, if I purchase another bolt action, it will be a Kimber. It shoots sub MOA. Its worth the $. Although my next rifle will have a synthetic stock. My .22-250 is such a great looking gun, I'm afraid to scratch it.

RE: kimber .......
Kimber Rifles are one of the finest expressions of a Mauser type action. If the gun has not been damaged by the previous owner it would be a good investment

Man... I love my Kimber... It is a true semi-custom. Great trigger, amazing accuracy (bedded/floate), and sexy looks to boot.
I have a Kimber Longmaster Classic in .243... Definately worth the money. I topped mine with a 3-9x40 Zeiss Conquest. It is my go-to rig! |
RE: kimber .......
Let us know if you pick up the Kimber and how it shoots!
Good luck! |
RE: kimber .......
Are you sure the Classic was an 8400 and not an 84? The 8400's are long actions (like .30-06, .300WM,.338 WM, etc.) and the .308 is a short action. Bet it's an 84. I have one and it's a beauty. Great wood, light weight and shoots very well. I topped it with a Swaro American 3-9 and it's definately a keeper. Good luck with "yours".

RE: kimber .......
I was going to say the same thing, but I was too lazy to look it up.
I think the classic 84 is the short action (.308) I want to get an 8400 in .30-06 - 8400's being long action (.30-06) |
RE: kimber .......
ahhh...... I can only dream of a rifle like that right now...go for it and show some pictures!
