North Dakota offering deer licence refunds
I just saw that North Dakota is offering approximately 30,000 deer license refunds due to a severe outbreak of EHD. It looks like this is the second year in a row that they have had a bad enough mortality that requires a refund. I experienced some of that in Illinois several years ago. Really tragic to look into a creek and see a fully grown buck rotting away.

EHD can crush a deer population. Not sure how I feel about refunds being issued... Kinda a risk you take when you get a tag. It will keep the customers happy though.
I didn't research this.....Did they CANCEL the season? At that point I understand the refund. Or is it just because the population is low- but hunters still have the opportunity to hunt.
