Game Feeder?

Which type of feeder do you think works better, Gravity or Timer? I would rather feed the Deer than the crows and squirrels.

Timer when it is not freezing. Batteries and Digital timer do not hold up in freezing temps.
I switch to my gravity feeders over the winter.

I have an outdoor weather station that uses solarpanels for the power source, but it has a battery backup system. Alkaline batteries will freeze in the winter so I switched to LITHIUM batteries, like you would use in a digital camera and they can hold up in very low temperatures (way below 0 Farienheit). Just a thought. I don't know about the digital timer, but a Lithium battery can handle the cold. ;)

Do they make a 12V 8 amp lithium battery? Send me the link and I will get a couple. Bet they won't be cheap if they do make them. The digital display on the timer freeze.
