I Need Some Adive!

I just lost my bowhunting property, so I am looking to trade/sell my bow. I have a Mathews Outback - ready to hunt. I have a guy that is interested in trading me a Savage 30-06 with a Nikko Sterling 3-12X44. Has anyone out there had any experience, or just opinions on Nikko Sterling scopes. What do you guys think? Good trade or not? Thanks so much in advance...

hmmm. The savage although not a GREAT rifle is a very good rifle and will more then satisfy your needs.... the scope I have no clue...if it was the scope that comes in the savage package...it is no good. But I don't think that is a savage package scope.
