Treestand locations

My season is almost over in Wisconsin. I'm already pumped for next year. I began looking at the topo maps trying to deside what will be the hotspot for next year. I had good luck in my crp feilds bordering cornfields and alfalfa fields. What doyou guys look for when deciding to put up treestands? I guess I want to try some different things for next year.

Well on my farm i look for scrap lines, rubs and simple trails the deer like to use. The best thing that i can tell you to do is to scout out some possible places that you think are good and go from there, you will have to be there alot in order to see where the deer are entering and exiting into the feilds, that shouldnt be to big of a problem considering you are in WISS. Take your time and look it over really well. Me personally i like corners and alcoves, also lanes or truck paths cut through the woods, they have always seemed to work out for me. But study the woods and fields that is why deer hunting is considered a full time job:D!!
