A few months ago either Deer and Deer Hunting or the QDMA magazine had an article about these holes and there were several theories kicked about and if I remember right there wasn't a final decision. I'll look around here and see if I can find the article.

I've also wondered and don't think there is much ofa final theory. Who know's but I think it adds some cool character to a rach. Congrats to him!

It was a QDMA article that stated there is no conclusive science to explain the holes. Bottom line nobody knows.
