pa big buck!
i live in pa and this is one of the biggest buck i have shot so far in my 15+ years of hunting. the area i hunt is not known for extremly big bucks but the last couple of years the bucks are getting bigger. i guess the antler restrictions are paying off? i saw this guy running with two small six pointers 3 days before the first day of archery season. i hunted as much as possible! i didn't see him all season though. i saw a bunch of smaller buck but let them all pass waiting for him and another my father saw in early archery (10 pointer!) i was frustrated and completely baffled this buck dissapeared. on the last day of rifle season i was debating on going to an archery only area to hunt for some monsters i have herd rumors of by a bunch of guys? but a couple of hunting buddies were coming in and decided to go and use one of my doe tags since i was seeing them almost every time i went out. little did i know this guy followed a small doe (70lbs) and a little 4pointer that i saw earlier in the season. which had already shed one of its horns?? it is an 8 pointer with a 18/19 inch spread. it looks to be about 3 1/2 years old? its head is died red from rubbing the pine trees in our area and it had sap and bark all stuck in its horns! i can't wait to get it back from the taxidermist to score it? it isn't huge but still my biggest.
