Porta BLind

I had something work out for me this year and thought I would share. Before the season started I bought 3old porta potties. Took the floor and toilet out of the and mound them on palets. I also painted them. They've worked out great this season. I was just wondering if anyone else does this.

They're kinda crappy. They make a piss poor blind..

I just couldn't help myself..sorry.

Seriously though. I can see where they might work out pretty well

:D That's great.

I guess you could just leave them the way there were, then you'd have the where-to-go-in-the-woods question answered. lmao

Got them from a local porta potty sale place here in SC. There not to bad when you shoot.

I was able to talk the guy down to 50 a piece. I bought 3 of them. One of the I put on a 10 FT raised platform. I did have to do a little work on them because it was the ones they didn't use anymore

I have to think that a Port-a-pot would be awfully cramped.

heres a good one for you, I was joking around with my father in law and cousin about doing the same thing, i know someone who rents porta potties out, has his own business cleaning septic tanks and stuff, and he has some old ones laying around. Ill have to check with Bill and see what hes got and how much hed be willing to sell a couple for. :D

I wonder if they work well enough so that you could "dump" a deer from it.
It's nice to be able to set up in a blind after a long walk into the woods and you are "pooped"
Do they work well in deer drives? Have your friends "flush" the deer out of the thickets towards you.
What color green would you use to repaint it? "pee", i mean pea green?
Good luck using it. Hope you really "bowl" em over this year.

Geez, I can't believe i just typed all that crap

I use a oldtelephone booth and dial them in. Kinda looks strange1 mile from the nearest phone line, also great when raining.

It would be fairly tight quarters in one I would think....The dome shape plastic 500Gallon AG tanks are great...

Its a little cramped but with a good chair and as long as you but it where you usally have two ways to shoot it works. Where can you get them 500 ag tanks from.

Places like Tractor Supply always have them, go for the taller style. I actually considered them until I priced them, I could buy a manufactured hard side blind for what they cost or build a few plywood shooting houses.
