where were you when you shot that deer. we have a little white deer on our land. it is probley 2foot 5 and it is a cool little thing

being that its black it had to be easy to spot out lol.i dont see how he lived to be that big.i wonder how other deer reacted to it.

I read about ,I believe, somewhere in Texas there is a herd of them. I'll have to do some digging and see what I come up with.

Yeah this was posted a while ago but still cool to see, i was telling my friends about it and they didjn't believe me. I'd have a hard time shooting something like that for fear of it NOT being a whitetail and possibly getting in trouble.

If you took off the white tail & rack it could almostbe mistaken as a Black Angus Steer.

I have seen a melanistic buck before, but it wasn't that dark though, Im gonna get it one of these days.

This I find hard to believe. You cannot breed melanistic deer. They are more rare than albinos or just white deer. Black or melanism is more rare than albino and much, much more rare than white. It's a color phase and you could breed thousands and thousands of deer hoping to get one bred correctly, a herd...to quote Jerry Seinfeld. "I don't think so".
