If you were to get a chance to go on "your" dream whitetail hunt, in which state would it be and why?

I'd pick Kansas.

I think either Iowa or Kentucky as an alternate. Although Saskatchawan would be my first pick.

Well two reasons are.

1. I'm from Texas and its God's favorite state but Kansas has to be the most beautiful state in the country.
2.The areseveral states that produce eye poppin outrages big bucks, but so does kansas.

i wouldnt pick any other state besides the one state ive been hunting all my life, the great state of maine that grows some of the heaviest bucks in the country

My home state, Buffalo County. Everyone I know that has land there has shown me pictures of their deer. Wow.

I'd like to hunt whitetails in cold weather and think Alberta might do the trick or maybe someplace else in Canada. I'd like the opportunity to see animals, even if I'm not hunting them, that I don't see here in Texas.

I would love to hunt in Pike County Illinois since there has been so many BIG Bucks shown and taken from there,my next pick would be Iowa or Northern Missouri.

Iowa, Buffalo County WI, Saskatchewan.

Statistically Iowa has the fewest hunter hours in a tree per P&Y/B&C taken, statewide. Kansas is2nd. I've hunted both often. Glad I now live in Illinois with a lifetime license. I get 2 buck tags per year and I will take that combined with the quality. The way these states tag prices are may never go back. I have 4Iowa bonus points rotting in my pocket. Just no need to spend the cash $400+.

I just got back from Iowa and Kansas .I have hunted both states for 6 years.I have hunted north west. north central, and east central kansas. Iowa I have hunted the south west and south central,.From what I have seen
Kansas does not hold a candle to iowa with the numbersof quality of deer. Kansas has an early blackpowder season , thatI think is gonna be moved to the first of october in 2008. or you can hunt with a rifle in december. In Iowa it is shotgun or muzzleloader only, the season also starts in December. Either state would be good with a bow in the rut. BUT remember the weather normally sucks big time in the December.I have been caught in bad snow and ice storms more times than not.

I've always wanted to go Mule deer hunting in Montana, but I would have to say Iowa, or Pike County, Illinois. Out of the states though, its definately Saskatchewan. Being from Louisiana, I dont know if I could take that kind of cold though :D.
