Steve863,
You are correct in alot of cases. In mine, I am about 15 min. from home. In addition, the kids were home alone, 13 and 10, not a big deal but they are my kids. My bigest problem is the friends and family that call. They know I hunt but they don't. People these days don't think about anyone else. With cell phones, it is so easy to just pickup the phone and get someone. In this situation it cost me a forkie. No big deal any other time I would have answered it quietly and been on my way. It was just the vibration at the exact moment of the shot.
I'll get that bugger this weekend with the old stick and string. If his older brother doesn't walk by first. LOL
