I have one in 7.62x39. It's well worth the 120 bucks i paid for it. I put a little 4 power scope on it and it shoots pretty well. It is by no means a sub-MOA weapon, but it's not so far off that a deer would notice the difference. I would take a 150-200 yard shot with it. I haven't shot it over 200, because the round I'm using isn't really effective any further out.

A buddy of mine bought one in 223 for coyotes and he loves it. He had a single shot new england firearms 243 and he says the rossi is a better gun

I have the 12 ga slug gun and love it. I paid 158 total for the gun brand new. I shot my first ever deer with it 2 weekends ago. In Illinois I use hornady sst with a Nikon 3x9x40 prostaff scope grand slam weaver rings. Cant go wrong with the price.
