probably field dressed 140ish |
RE: Guess the weight/age
Ok let me cheat a bit .... how tall and heavy is your buddy?
But if you won't give me that help, I'll guess the deer is 1 1/2 and weighed 165 dressed. |
RE: Guess the weight/age
i would say from 155-165 dressed and about 2 years old
not positive but thats what i think |
RE: Guess the weight/age
Close to 200 and older than dirt.
|
RE: Guess the weight/age

RE: Guess the weight/age
140, three years old
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
it's not old just a screwed uprack.it's probably 2 1/2 and 150 feild dressed.
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
Ok I'll revise my guess.....3 1/2 to 5 1/2 yr old and dressed out at 210
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
I'd say 180 lbs dressed weight - maybe a bit more - I think this because of the Front leg size in the 1st picture. Age- 3.5 - likely an injury (maybe youll find a broadhead or slod wound) caused the messed up rack.
It looks bigger than my deer this year hanging - and mine went 175. FH |
RE: Guess the weight/age
keep guessing guys ill post the weight tomorrow
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
230 and 6 1/2 years old
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
6 years and 205 dressed
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
ok the dressed weight is 285 lbs! and the biologist took a tooth in to age it but he hasnt heard back from them yet, the bio's estimate it at 9 1/2 years old, it probably wouldnt have made it through another northern maine winter.

RE: Guess the weight/age
Good lord!!
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
Wow..
They do get big and old up there. Awesome kill! |
RE: Guess the weight/age
9.5 is definitely older than dirt for a deer, probably didn't have much teeth left to age him on. Let us know how he taste, most of us have probably not eaten one that old.

RE: Guess the weight/age
That is a true trophy Is he going to get it mounted
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
Did the deer have ascrewed up leg. Just wondering if theantler is screwed up sometimes it is due to a leg that was broken on the oposite side.
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
I think it is just messed up from age
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
Years ago my buddy shot a big NH deer that dressed at 269 pounds with an 11 point rack.
The rack was small and scrawny considering the size of his deer. The biologist said that deer was very old too and that he probably saw his last New England winter. The size of the antlers also was an indication of age as they tend to reduce in size once a deer get's beyond 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 yrs old. The deer in this post must have been a real bruise in his prime. |
RE: Guess the weight/age
Are you sure that deer didn't have dentures? :D
He looks like he needs a wheel chair or something. lol |
RE: Guess the weight/age
The deer musta broke the rest of his rack off and MacGuyvered a walker.
|
RE: Guess the weight/age
I bet that was some pretty tasty meat!!!
