HOW OLD IS THIS BUCK?
 

HIS WEIGHT WAS 187 BEFORE I FEILD DRESSED HIM.I THINK HES OLD BUT LOTS OF PEOPLE SAY HES OLD AND LOTS SAY HES YOUNG BUT BEING EVERYONE ON THIS SITE HUNTS I FIGURED I WOULD GET A BETTER NUMBER ON HERE.

I would say he is mature for sure probably 4+ years old

3 1/2 to 4, it is better to try and judge a deer's age by his body shape characteristics or pull the jaw bone.

Without seeing the body, I would say 3.5 or 4.5, he is as big as he would have gotten, maybe a few more inches next year.

probly 3.5 to 4.5 year old deer. just remember if you woulda lethim go he woulda been bigger next year.haha.

That deer has a big rack for only dressing out at 140 pounds.
4 1/2 sounds about right....may even a little older.

By taking a closer look, I would say he was born June 3, 2003 (10:33am) ;)

IM TRYING TO MAKE MY MIND UP IF I WANT TO MOUNT HIM.IT'S THE BIGGEST ONE I'V HARVESTED BUT I'V NEVER MOUNTED ONE AND I DONT KNOW IF HE'S MOUNTABLE OR NOT.IF YOU GUY'S WAS IN MY PLACE WHAT WOULD YA'LL DO?

Beauty buck id say 4.5 also. I'd get him mounted in a heartbeat. He's a very nice trophy in my eyes. Congrats!

Get him mounted, at least a european. I once got rid of a set of antlers on a whim that I wish I had today. He was small for the ranch where I killed him, but pretty big compared to most places I've had the chance to hunt.

well im gonna go talk to a buddy of mine and see if he can sweet talk his uncle any cheaper.he said his uncle does it for a liveing cause he's in a wheel chair where he fell out a deer stand onto a stump about 10 years ago.i think he want's 300 dollars but i dont know if thats a shoulder mount and the plaqe add'ed.does anyone know about the price diff between neck mount and shoulder mount?

Nice deer, $300 is probably for a shoulder mount, which is cheap in my neck of the woods! If the guy does good work, go for it! Congrats!

I would say probably closer to 4 1/2. Definitely a mountable buck and if it's only $400, go for it. It is going to cost me $460 for mine this year and my brother is getting his son's buck mounted and it's going to run him over $600!

3.5 yrs To each there on whether or not to mount. Depends on how many you want? I'm going to guess you will kill a couple bigger in your lifetime so if it were me I would most likely hold off.
