Whats Your Deer Gun?
 

In the Waterfowl Forum they have a "Whats Your Duck Guns" forum, so we should have one.
So what gun do you use for deer? I'm shooting a Savage Model 111 in 270.

I have two,

Remington Model 7400 Woodsmaster .243 Autoloader, old Tasco scope.

Winchester Model 70 Super Shadow .243 WSSM, Sightron 3.5-10x44 Scope.

I prefer to use the Winchester, it's a light easy handling gun and very accurate.

No rifles where I live so mine are all shotguns or muzzle loaders.

Right now my go to gun would be my H&R Ultra in 12 ga. I also have a Remington 700 ML in line that is very accurate. After that I have an A-5 stalker light (synthetic stocks 22 inch barrel) smooth bore that shoots rifled slugs pretty darn good, and I am toying with the idea of using the Winchester 9410 (.410 lever gun) my dad gave me last year with slugs.

I'm thinking of selling my A-5 though and getting a 243 just for the heck of it. I would have to go up north to use it for deer though. I am thinking more of a woodchuck gun.

I use a Remington model 7600 .270 pump with 130 grain tip... Very accurate rifle and wouldnt trade it for anything!

Gotta a 12 ga 1187 and a 12 ga 870with scope But for the past several years I havebeen using an 1100 20ga with smooth bore and rifle sights. its a tack driver.

I use a Savage Model 99 in .308 win. It was my fathers. Purchased in 1959.

I carry either A Weatherby MK-5 Lightweight in 338-06 A-square, a Remington Mountain Rifle in 7X57mm Mauser, or if I am hunting thick stuff or walking a lot I carry a Remington 760 in 35 Whelen.
