For a heart lung shot and keep the yards to 100 or so, you shoulkd be fine. I would rather see someone shoot a lighter caliber accurately and comfortably than a big gun they are scared of.
Flinching = wounded animals.

i can't use rifles where i am but i use a mossberg model 88 12 ga and a thompson center .50 cal muzzle loader
