I didn't weight him, but he's a typical 2 1/2 year old nebraska deer, probably around 175-185 lbs dressed. I saw several bucks of this size while hunting this year. I'm hoping next year I'll bag something a little bigger. I was talking with the land owner and it sounds like the rut is in full force right now and he's seeing several nice bucks chasing does. It's nice to hear he's seeing so many deer after the rifle season, I should have a chance at a larger buck next year.

That is a very nice buck Toy4two.....CONGATS!!!!!!!..... If I was the taxidermist I would want that cape too
......(nice lookin neck and chest).That capewill make somebody a nice mount. And I also think you made a good deal by trading him for theeuropean mount....you cant go wrong with that deal.

There's a slip/choke chain hooked to the loader and then around the base of the antlers. We use the loader to gut the deer and just drop the guts into a tub, works great. Then he's hauled off to the barn and hung in the rafters away from the cats, coons or anything else crawling around. I must say I'm spoiled when it comes to deer hunting. I have thousands of acres to hunt, a great place to stay and this year was the first year I've cleaned my own deer, usually my friend has it done before I can even jump in.
