Well you arent supposed to have a shell in ur gun before legal shooting hours, or after legal shooting hours... I usually do tho because of those darn coyotes and stuff. It was a long time before legal shooting time when I entered the woods, and then I had a mile long walk to where I was gonna sit. Well by the time I got to where I was going, I was worn out! So I sat down and unzipped my jacket cause I was burning up! It was light enough by thenshoot, but while I was catching my breath, somehow I completely forgot about not having a shell in the gun, and then when I called, the buck just pretty much came out of nowhere.... and seeing him got me excited, and im sure that helped me forget also lol.... Oh well. Ill see another one someday. I hope.

I have had this happen to me before too, except i chambered a round and killed the buck. You guys act like this could never happen butit happens all the time. Its not that outlandish like the other stories.
