RE: Bow or Gun
Bow, just think about how much more goes into shooting a deer with a bow than a gun. A gun is point at 100-200 yards and shoot. With a bow it is all about tricking the deer; calling/rattling him in, sitting motionless in a tree, spending hours shooting your bow getting ready for that perfect shot. You actually have to take the time to get a buck in with a bow. Gun hunting is fun but there is nothing that compares with shooting any animal with the bow

RE: Bow or Gun
I love to bow hunt, and have for the last 26 years. I still love it and plan to keep bow hunting, particularly for elk and some deer. However, I voted for gun. Out west, we are able to have many more hunting opportunities if we are not too picky about our weapon type.
Spent my first 13 yrs of my hunting career in Illinois where I was exclusively a bow hunter. I still take 1-2 animals each year with a bow, but I look forward to those mountain and prairie rifle hunts every fall. I prefer to carry a rifle for spot and stalk spring bear too.
