Depends. Cold Days with no wind I like open fields. Windy days and rut I will stick to the creek bottom.

I would rather be in the creek bottom, not a field person, I always feel weird looking over a field.

Creek bottom for sure! More big guys in the woods then out in the fields during the day.

In Illinois during the firearm season, I'd say its the exact opposite of where Schultzy hunts. Any deer with age lives on the prairie. It took 10 years of average firearm hunting to learn that. I am a converted spot and stalker during the firearm season but with a bow I'm still a tree hugger.

agreed! have shot most of my big deer in the woods next to bedding areas. only time i see big ones out in the open is when they are locked down and/or running 100mph, good luck with that!

Rugerm777 is rite depend i would stick with creek bottom but then again im 13
been huntin for five years and bagged my first one this year in a food/open field but there wasnt that much wind.

Creek bottom, no reason besides that I like them more.
