At 6;50 this morning I sat down in my stand at 7;10 a big 9 point came walking up the road I made on my place it scored 128 4/8 not as big as last year but I am very happy
the rut has just started here in southwest va. these were the first scrapes I have seen so I sat down I am glad I did.

i am also from sw VA, congrats on a great buck...i am 17 and am really just starting to hunt..do you have and advise on using calls or scents or do just sit and wait

I live in Lee county va. froy09 I don't use any of the junk they have on the market the only thing I use is tinks 69 so far I have had no problems in the last 3 years I have taken 3 8 points and this 9 point the most important think is to control you're scent so the deer can't smell you and use the wind to you're use to take you're scent away. hope this helps good luck
