Default My first big buck

Hi all,
I posted apic in the Northeast forum the other day. Now that I have some time here's the story with more pics.
I got this one on Sunday morning 11/18.It was cold that morning with clear skies and no wind. There was some left over snow on the ground from the day before. The leaves on the ground frozen from the overnight, made for a racket when walking on them. I was certain that I was making so much noise walking thru them that there was no chance of bagging a deer on this day. At this point I gave up trying to be quiet and just hualed ass to my stand.I got to the stand, climbed up and settled in.A few minutes in, afox trotted by. That alone made my day(so I thought). About 10 minutes later I heard something walking in those LOUD leaves off to my right. Itfelt like forever but after a couple of minutes I could see it was a buck thru the thicket. He was walking right to me! I waited for my shot and dropped him in his tracks. Just like that my hunting season was over[8D]

This first pic is from my cell right where he went down.

Here's the rest of the pics. The buck field dressed at 160lbs
