Great deer.

I'm having a hard time getting 228 looking at the picture.

Do you have any of the measurements?

If I gave him 20" G-2's
15" G-3's and 5" G-1's That is 80 inches...

20 inches of abnormal points?

You still have to have 128 inches of frame...

That would be 44" of mass (on an 8 point frame)
30" main beams

and 24" inside spread....

All of those measurements seem rediculous looking at that picture.
Doesn't B & C use inside spread, tip to tip spread, and greatest outside spread?
Yes they do use those measurements.

best of luck

??????????????

They measure each of them, but only include the inside spread in the score.

What are you guys talking about? Only the inside spread counts towards the score.

Heck of nice buck, but I agree...no where near 228 gross.

There isn't any reason to go there, but by the way the poster is responding, It seems unlikely that he didn't know that all three measurements were included in the score.

Best of luck to you.

In the future when you do post pictures of deer on other sites, it might be best to let the deer speak for itself. If you do include the score, make sure that it is correctly done. When trying to get people to come to your ranch to hunt, nothing turns them off more than having their first experience with you being an innacuracy... intentional or otherwise.
