Agreed, very, very, nice buck but I've personally held a set of horns that grossed 189 and they were bigger than the rack in that photo.

I think maybe they inflate the scores because you pay for the size buck you harvest. Either way not a very good way to do business.

I can't believe how many experts there are on here. From one pictureno less.

Great looking deer and a great trophy for your step-son.

I hunt over bait as well. It's just what is done in Texas, particularly south Texas. Our habitat is greatly different than the habitat in other parts of the country.

No your rules are different. Big deal.

That deer is nice but its no where near 228 as many have pointed out.

What a cheap way to try to advertise your place. No one here will be running over to shoot your penned up deer.
