Congrats on your first deer - - and qualifying yourself to shoot a buck!
I'm like so many of the others who usually see MANY more does than bucks. I've often thought that Michigan's deer herd could be helped by the earn-a-buck concept, but they have chosen to go about it by using the lottery system for people who want to shoot a doe in certain management units. Of course, the lottery system has the advantage of bringing more money into the coffers by charging each applicant to pay for the chance to enter. Then those that are successful must also pay for the actual permit!
