shoot through windows

Has anybody tried shooting their rifle/ML through the window screens on their blind?
Did it affect the shot?

I have shot my bow through these. It did not seem it affect the shot, so I am sure that it would not affect a bullet. That said, I think there is a warning with the blind saying NOT to shoot a gun through these because of possible fire issues.

Also, with a ML, all of that smoke is going to stay inside the blind. I would poke the barrel out of the corner.

:D:DIt would look like an episode of "Cheetch & Chong go hunting" after your shot.

I forgot and shot my rifle thru a window once. It singed the netting and made a big hole. Didn't affect the bullet at all. Hit him where I was aiming at 220 yds. I would think a bigger bullet would be affected less.

I have seen where some guys will cut small slits in the windows to use for gun and then bobby pin them back up for bow. That's what i am going to do.

Too much fire coming out the front of my ML to risk it. Thats why the zipper is there, to open it up.

I would say it would be safe to shoot a rifle through the mesh, but for the loudness I would want it outside the tent. Shooting a ML through the mesh is a definate no no. because the shoots at the very least sparks. and most tents are made up of nylon, and as all of you know nylon catches fire pretty easily.

I've always opted out on the screens, but it was suggested on a blind video that you always use the window screens. In the past i would just find a good treetop to set up in and brush really well, the deer didn't seem to mind it, but they would get skittish if it wasn't brushed really well. I know horses get spooked when they see a hole, like the end of a culvert or such, I guess deer are the same way.
