best satellite imagery web site

Looking for a good free satellite web site to study my deer property. The one I use has pictures from like 5 years ago. My land now has part grown up in cedar trees ect. I there a web page that would have more recent images.

Yea GoogleEarth is the only free one that i know about. But it dosent have anywhere near enough resolution in my area to be too helpful for scouting purposes. If i were you, i would get a DeLorme map of your state. Those are very good maps with topo and everything. They are like 20 bucks. Hope this helps.

I have found that Mapquest is really good. There is a button on the map to go to satellite image instead of the map. It allows me to get in close enough for what I need.

Good luck

You are going to find that it all depends on when the last film flights were flown (g). You might also check with your local county Property Appraiser office as well as the NRCS and county forestry office. If they aren't recent enough try to find someone that will take you up in their private plane or helicopter and shoot some yourself.

Try this one:

http://dev.live.com/virtualearth/sdk/

keep zooming in on your area. Amazing clarity when you click to the aerial or hybrid. The only problem is I don't know if you can save or print from there, but it's pretty current.

Also...Yahoo Beta Maps is pretty clear too and fairly up to date.
