RE: "the can"
I called in a nice 8pt (125+) with the new long can. Just hit it once after I saw the buck. I saw him turn twards me and I just let him come. After I drew back he stoped behind some brush and I could not hold long enough. As I let down he jumped and walked away. booo hooo booo hooo

That's not electronic is it? I don't think we can use electronic calls in MO.

RE: "the can"
I usually make a call every 15 min and then a grunt or two a couple of min after.
|
RE: "the can"
If you have one call make it the Can.Does,Bucks,it don't matter they will come to this call.I've had Bucks almost run over me,turning my way from a Hot Doe.Called Does out of brush after being spooked.
I alway just give them couple calls see what they do,then maybe another time. They may act like they don't hear it,but they will work their way to you. This call is better than any call you will use! big rockpile |
RE: "the can"
Been using it every year since it first came out. Not once have i had any results, good or bad. The only thing thats happened with it was a deer looking up and looking back and not even caring. Im sure the right time it will work, just like anything else. But so far its been a bust.

RE: "the can"
I called in 40 cows on Saturday with the can. I've never heard a doe in estrous but I have heard a calf bawl many times and I say they nailed it with that call. I have called in a couple of bucks with it but never any shooters.

RE: "the can"
I have used it twice in the last week on bucks I saw that were not going to pass within bow range. Both I drew right in like on a string. One 3/4 the way around me to within 22 yards and is now at the butcher.

RE: "the can"
I have had mixed results with this. My favorite call is a fawn bleat. It is THE call for early in the season.
|
RE: "the can"
I like the call but they don't seem to last. When I go to use them the next season no workie. Does anybody else have this problem? Anybody know of a way to avoid this or to get them going again?
|
RE: "the can"
I used it on a doe walking about 80yds from my stand. She turned, looked and then walked on. Another time I used it when four does walked out the wrong direction on a trail I was on, none even bothered to turn their head. I used it on a buck that seemed to walk away from a cornpile after he heard a distress call and he came back. Didn't come toward me though, he just went right back to the corn.

RE: "the can"
The simplest and best call on the market. No hunter's backpackshould be without the can and a good grunt. I like the True Talker Grunt by H.S. Here is a link to buy from Bass Pro.
The Can Packet Get It and use it1 Good Luck Eric |

RE: "the can"
in the last week i've called 8 bucks to within 20yds of my stand using the original can and the primos buck roar grunt. it doesn't work all the time, but at times it will amaze you.
last yr. i had 4 does come down a trail about 75 yards from my bow stand. i called the right to me with the can,one of them walked around under my stand and finally winded me .she ran off and snorted 4 times . now you would think they would be long gone, but they headed right back to the trail and i began calling again .in just a few minutes here they came again ,only thing is this time they brought a nice 8pt with them. he now hangs on my wall...... yes the 'can' does work!!! |

RE: "the can"
A buddy of mine used it after a grunt call and called in a real nice 8 point on Sat. He said that he first grunted and then after about 3 to 5 minutes he used the can and the buck came running in. I do not know if he was already coming from the grunts and the can brought him in closer or what but he has a dead deer to mount.

RE: "the can"
The biggest buck I ever got to turn around and come back was done using my voice to sound like "the can" I had just been playing with at the sporting goods store. Just make a crying baby/cow sound and they will come. I still keep a True Talker handy for calling, but I know that if I'm ever without it that I still have options... :)

RE: "the can"
When you use the can, how do you do it?
One call, then wait? Two calls back to back? Two calls ten seconds apart? Do you ever call blind, or only when you see one? |
RE: "the can"
The best deer call on the market.
