? about a missed big buck

I missed a big 130-140 class buck with my in-line muzzeloader due to a branch that i couldnt see and he ran off and then started justwalkin away into a thick cutt-over and then started blowin'. Do yall think he will be back sometime if I give that stand about a week or two break?
THANX 4 ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME!!!!

I wouldn't wait that long, he'll be back, and if not maybe a bigger one will. The does will determine where the bucks are going to be, if there are always good doe numbers in that area your in, there will be bucks, more than just that one. Good Luck.

I agree, right now the bucks are not thinking straight (if you know what I mean) and he is liable to come back checking scrapes a few hours after having been shot at. I missed a nice buck last week and and my buddy just shot him over the same scrape a day later.

Right now they have a very short memory. A lot of times they don't know even what it was. I would be back in there right away. Seeing you or smelling you is far worse. Good luck, make the next one count.

I missed a 150" 10 point 3 years ago with a rifle. My dad shot him the next day 20 yards from where I missed. If you didn't roust up the woods after you shot he'll be back.

He will be back, I hit a buck thru the backstrap a couple of years ago, clean thru and thru, two weeks later saw the same deer in the same spot scabbed over on both sides, unfortunately for me buck season was over.

I agree. He will definitely be back. Bucks are truly being stupid this time of year. My brother was out close the the area that I will be hunting this weekend. He was sitting in his truck, smoking and talking to me on the cell phone and the buck was chasing a doe and stillstayed within 50 yards of his truck. If he is that dumb this weekend, he will be going down.
