Stand Use?
 

Do you believe that you can hunt a stand too much even if it a pipeline stand? What precautions do you take to prevent a stand from going "cold"?

Nope.

I have a stand that I hunt every year for the last 10. I/friends use itfor bow season,youth season, rifle season, muzzleloader season.... Probably gets sat in 20 times during the year. Always nice deer seen from it every year. Some years multiple bucks are taken from it.

Precautions....We don't need no stinkin precautions! If the wind is right, Just go hunt! While you're saving your stand you may be missing out!

That sounds like a great Stand. You made a good point that I could be missing something while trying to save my stand. Thanks for the comments.

I think it is hard to hunt a stand to much as long as you don't make yourself know too much.

I saw a 160-170 class deer in a stand that I have hunted 15 times already. However I knew that buck was a traveler and I was just waiting for him to come by me. Other stands I have noticed can be affected by the amount of times I visit them. In conclusion I think it depends on the stand location.
